Midterms: will support for Israel hurt Trump?

For the November 3 midterms, support for Israel risks hurting Donald Trump. Not because of Israel itself, but because of the war against Iran and what it costs: nearly two Americans in three disapprove of his handling of the war. The divide even runs through his own camp: on one side the evangelicals and the MAGA base, on the other the America First camp, where Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene have announced they will not support Republicans in November. And if Republicans do not win? That changes nothing in itself: Trump remains commander in chief. But I expect a great deal of disruption at home, with a possible impeachment procedure.
